Canadian Secondary School Students
Each year 日博电竞登录下载靠谱 University (TMU) welcomes students from across Canada to our campus who make their mark on our diverse and engaged community.
Admission requirements vary by undergraduate program. Please see the applicable provincial documents to determine your academic admission requirements (subject to change).
General Admission Requirements
If you have been educated in a Canadian province and/or territory outside of Ontario you must submit evidence of education equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U or M courses. Please note: TMU reserves the right to be the final arbiter of what will be accepted on an equivalency basis. The minimum academic requirements apply to all programs. You are encouraged to achieve as much breadth and depth as possible in your academic preparation leading up to graduation, while also meeting the subject prerequisite requirements of your program(s) of choice.
It is essential that the subject prerequisite(s) and grade(s) for specific TMU programs form part of your academic background, especially in your last two years of high school studies. Unless noted otherwise, subject prerequisite grades required for admission (normally in the 65-75 per cent range) are determined on the basis of competition. Calculus is required for all Engineering programs, the Accounting & Finance program, and select programs in the Faculty of Science.
We consider all Grade 11 final marks and Grade 12 interim/final marks in our assessment (where applicable). Conditional Offers of Admission may be granted based on competitive results in appropriate Grade 11 courses and enrolment in required Grade 12 courses.
In determining admissibility, TMU reserves the right to take into account all aspects of your academic record. Secondary school as well as all post-secondary studies (e.g. college, university, or other post-secondary institutions) must be declared on your application and all transcripts must be submitted to TMU. Your overall academic performance will be reviewed and considered as part of the competitive selection process. Please visit our Admission Requirements page for more details.
TMU receives more applications than spaces available. The averages/grades required for admission selection to each program is determined on the basis of competition each year. Possession of minimum averages and/or grades does not guarantee admission.
Non-Academic Requirements
Programs may specify non-academic requirements for admission (e.g. portfolio, admission essay, interview, audition, etc.). These programs are referred to as Grades-Plus programs. The specific non-academic requirements for individual Grades-Plus programs, including specific submission dates and procedures, are available by visiting each Program page. Note: for Grades-Plus programs, both academic and non-academic criteria will be used in the admission selection process.
Summer School
All applicants, including those given an early or conditional Offer of Admission, are required to successfully complete all admission requirements by June 30th (unless otherwise stated in your official Offer of Admission). In most cases, this excludes the possibility of using any summer school course(s) (including night school, e-school, and correspondence and/or distance education courses completed after June 30th in the Grade 12 year) to meet admission requirements. Visit Summer School and Other Extensions for details.
The minimum academic requirements apply to all programs. You are encouraged to achieve as much breadth of preparation as possible in the course of your studies leading to graduation, while also meeting the subject prerequisite requirements of your program(s) of choice.
International Baccalaureate
Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma must present grades of 4 or higher in three Higher Level and three Standard Level subjects with a grade total of 28 or higher. Subject to competition, applicants may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum. IB Higher Levels with grades of 5 or higher may be considered for transfer credit on an individual basis. Engineering students are not eligible for transfer credits for core and professional engineering courses using IB subjects.
