We reflect on how these institutions came to be and how they are changing to adapt to an uncertain future. Criminology is a dynamic field where scholars engage with often contentious public discussions about what constitutes justice. We place particular emphasis on the development and communication of critical thinking in these areas, which helps prepare students for a variety of careers related to the criminal justice system and postgraduate education.
