We know our writing and language development improves when we get to talk about it with others at various stages of the process. We help you develop your academic writing skills and your approach to the writing process through meaningful conversations about your writing in individual appointments, workshops, and writing groups. If you are a multilingual student and want to improve your English language skills, you can participate in individual and group sessions and access classroom instruction to help improve your writing, speaking and listening, oral presentation, and reading skills.

We offer mentorship opportunities to students of all identities across all faculties. Our peer-to-peer model matches 1st year students with upper year students in the same program or with similar interests in order to help incoming students navigate the transition into first year. In your 3rd year or above you can access Career Mentoring and be matched with an industry professional for guidance and encouragement progressing towards your goals. The TMP hosts regular Group Mentoring community meetings for equity seeking students on campus including groups for students who are 2SLGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Filipinx, Latinx, Lusophone/Portugese speaking, Muslim women, mature students, students with disabilities and women in STEM.
