Yes. Refunds are processed within 15 business days and will be sent to you via cheque to your mailing address listed on your RAMSS Student Centre. If you need to update your mailing address, detailed instructions are available on the RAMSS Support website . 

• As outlined on the OSAP website , external link , from March 30, 2020 to September 30, 2020, the Ministry temporarily deferred loan payments and interest did not accrue on your student loans. Any payments made during this period went entirely towards your loan principal. As of October 1, 2020, you were required to resume repaying your loan, meaning:
  • Payments were withdrawn from your account if you were on pre-authorized debit
  • If you make payments through online banking or cheque, you were required to send in payments
• Effective April 2021, the Government of Canada suspended the accumulation of interest on Canada Student Loans until March 31, 2023. 
  • At this time, provincial interest rates still accrue. If you are in repayment, or would like to make a payment to your student loans, please note you cannot choose to direct payment to the provincial portion of your funding. Important Information for OSAP Recipients:

You are required to declare CRB/CRSB earnings as “other income”on your OSAP application if you are receiving CRB/CRSB during your OSAP study period and are earning more than $5,600 in total income in a single semester. For example, if you are receiving full-time OSAP from September 2021 to April 2022, and you are receiving a CRB and/or CRSB installment in September for $2,000, and also start a part-time job in October 2020, earning $5,000 before the end of December, you are required to declare your earnings.

To update your application, please scan and upload , external link a letter to your OSAP account , external link using the “optional/other uploads” button on your Required Documents page including the following information:

1. Your full name, TMU Student Number, and the date
2. The amount of CRB/CRSB received during your study period and the period during which you are receiving these payments, e.g. $2,000 from CRB/CRSB in September 2021 
   • Upload your letter through your online OSAP account using the "Optional uploads" link on the Required Documents page. Your OSAP funding will be recalculated within 3 to 4 weeks from date of submission based on the updated income information.

• Tuition supports all aspects of your academic experience, both in and outside the classroom, from instruction and research in faculties, to the support services that ensure students can be successful during their time here, like counselling, financial assistance, and academic accommodation support.
• The university’s regular expenses have not changed due to the pandemic. Much of the teaching, learning and instruction that students would normally receive if they were on campus continue to be available remotely.

• Ancillary fees support numerous services, organizations, and activities across the TMU campus.
  
  
  • Non-Tuition or Mandatory Ancillary Fees are charged to all students, and support services that enhance campus life and student success, such as Student Learning Support or the Career Centre. All fees have been voted on by students through referenda and support a range of university services as well as other student organizations like the TMSU/EyeOpener and CJRU.  Over the course of the pandemic, many of these services moved online and were available to students.
  • Departmental/Program & Lab Ancillary Fees are charged at the course level, and pay for activities like field trips, learning materials, and experiential education. TMU had revised some of these fees to ensure that in instances where items were not offered due to COVID-19, these fees were not charged. All departmental & course fees are available on the Undergraduate Fees by Program page.
