After two long years of virtual activities, we are excited to welcome new and returning Indigenous students, staff and faculty back to in-person campus life, and introduce the array of Indigenous services available to them from across the university. There will be presentations from Aboriginal Student Services, In Their Moccasins Program, Learn for Empowerment, Saagajiwe and Yellowhead Institute. There will also be prizes, giveaways and more, so be sure to drop by and introduce yourself.
Drop in from 2 – 4 p.m. and peruse the information tables. Between 4 – 6 p.m., Elder Joanne Dallaire will conduct a Welcoming Ceremony, followed by brief introductions from Indigenous staff across campus providing services to our community. The event will wrap up with Indian tacos for dinner.
Please google form register , external link if you plan on attending our Indian taco dinner. Registration numbers will ensure we order enough for everyone.
We will also have $100 Campus bookstore gift certificates and other draws so fill out the questionnaire(s) that will be provided at the event.
