Pursue these and other fundamental questions that philosophers have contemplated for centuries, yet remain relevant today. Learn to ask deeper questions, develop stronger arguments and write clearly. Acquire the knowledge needed to understand the meaning of human existence and help solve social problems. You will graduate ready to apply analytical skills in a knowledge-based economy.

Required grade ranges may fluctuate from year to year (up or down) as a result of competition. Applicants not educated in Ontario may present the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. TMU reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.

Academic Requirements
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following program specific requirements.
Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:
- A minimum grade of 70% or higher will be required in Grade 12 U English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)

After Graduation
You’re ready to apply analytical skills and philosophical intellect to a knowledge based economy and conduct critical analysis in public, private and non-profit sectors such as education; business; health-care; environmental advocacy; politics; and law. You may work as a program analyst, research associate, account manager, project manager, writer, ethics and compliance officer, risk analyst, corporate social responsibility officer, governance and control consultant, or arbitration and mediation associate. You may also choose to pursue a master’s degree in philosophy or professional programs such as education and law.
