The first Wednesday of each November marks Take Our Kids to Work Day, a national initiative from The Learning Partnership , external link .
In consideration of the current COVID-19 guidelines for campus access, Ryerson is not holding on-campus events this year. Below are some suggestions to ensure that employees and their grade nine students can still take part in this important national program.
Participate in virtual events hosted by the Learning Partnership
On November 3, the Learning Partnership has organized virtual sessions, including an introduction that will explore a variety of career pathways across Canada. After the introduction, students can sign up for breakout sessions focused on careers in innovation and entrepreneurship, technology and finance, skilled trades, and healthcare.

Take a virtual tour of the Ryerson Campus
While we are disappointed we aren’t able to welcome your students to campus this year, Ryerson’s Admissions team has put together an interactive tour of campus. Show your student your favourite spots at Ryerson through a guided tour hosted by a Ryerson grad and current student! Take the virtual tour .
Have your student tag along to a virtual meeting
Of course, part of the fun of Take Our Kids to Work Day is providing your student behind-the-scenes insight of what you do each day. Where appropriate, check in with your leader to confirm whether they are okay with your grade nine student attending a virtual meeting.
Leaders are encouraged to be flexible with their employees to accommodate student attendees to meetings where possible.
