Diversity Self-ID for Applicants
At Ryerson, we believe that having employees who reflect the diversity of our students and our city makes us a better university. One of the ways this happens is through collecting diversity data to assess the recruitment, representation and retention of faculty, staff and students from five equity-deserving groups: women, racialized people, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples, persons with disabilities and 2SLGBTQ+ people.
In Human Resources, we are committed to identifying where barriers exist in our recruitment process, creating strategies to address them and measuring our success. Understanding the diversity of our applicants and their progress through the hiring process will inform our goals, strategies and actions.
Diversity Self-ID for Applicants for staff/administrative recruitment positions is one of the ways we do this.

Diversity Self-ID for Employees
Human Resources is proud to support the Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion to know where we are in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion to help us determine the path to where we want to be. To that end, all employees are asked to complete the Diversity Self-Identification.
